How billing works
The cost of a message is the number of SMS parts multiplied by your price per part. Prices can differ for masking and non-masking messages and for GSM-7 and Unicode text; the current rates are on the Pricing page.
Reserve first, charge on acceptance
When a message is queued, its cost is reserved from your balance so you cannot overspend. The reserved amount is charged only when the SMS provider accepts the message. If a message fails or is rejected, it is not charged and the reservation is released.
If the provider’s response is unclear, the message is marked unknown and checked with the provider. It is charged only once acceptance is confirmed, and it is never resent automatically, so you are never charged twice.
Balance, reserved and available
The same figures are available to your software through the balance API endpoint, so you can warn your team before a large campaign runs out of funds.
- Balance — the funds in your wallet.
- Reserved — funds held for messages that are queued or being sent.
- Available — what you can spend on new messages right now (balance minus reserved).
Topping up your wallet
Today, top-ups are made manually: send the payment through bKash or Nagad, then submit the transaction details in the dashboard. Our staff verify the payment and credit your wallet. Online payment gateways are planned.
- Use the payment details shown in your dashboard.
- Enter the exact amount and the transaction ID so staff can match your payment.
- Top up ahead of large or scheduled campaigns to allow time for verification.
Transactions and invoices
Every top-up, charge and release appears in your transaction history. Invoices are available as PDF downloads for your accounts team. Together with the delivery reports, they let you reconcile what you spent with what you sent.
Refunds
Failed and rejected messages are never charged, so there is nothing to refund for them. Unused wallet balance can be refunded on request, subject to review. Messages that were accepted by the network are not refundable. The Refund Policy has the full details.
