Scheduling
Scheduled SMS, sent on time
At a glance
- Pick a date and time in Asia/Dhaka
- Works for single SMS and campaigns
- Schedule over the API with a timezone offset
- Track scheduled messages in reports
How scheduling works
When you compose a message or a campaign, choose to send it later and pick the date and time. Times are in Bangladesh Standard Time (Asia/Dhaka, UTC+06:00), so 10:00 means 10:00 in Dhaka regardless of where you are when you schedule it.
Scheduled messages wait with the status scheduled. At the chosen time they are queued and processed like any other message, and their progress appears in your delivery reports.
Choosing a good time to send
Timing affects how your message is received. People are more likely to act on a reminder that arrives at a sensible hour, and a promotional message late at night can feel intrusive.
- Promotional messages: we recommend sending between 09:00 and 20:00 Bangladesh time, and following any stricter rules your operator or regulator applies.
- Reminders: send the evening before or early on the day of an appointment, class or payment deadline.
- Time-critical messages such as OTPs and security alerts should be sent immediately rather than scheduled.
- Around Eid, Puja and other holidays, schedule greetings and offers early so you are not composing them in a rush.
Scheduling through the API
When you create a bulk campaign through the API, add a scheduled_at value in ISO 8601 format with a timezone offset — for example 2026-12-01T10:00:00+06:00. The campaign is created with the status scheduled and sent at that time. Requiring an explicit offset avoids the classic mistake of a campaign going out six hours early or late because of a timezone mix-up.
Make sure your balance covers it
Messages are charged from your prepaid wallet in BDT. Before scheduling a large campaign, check that your available balance covers the estimated cost shown in the preview, and top up in good time — manual top-ups via bKash or Nagad are verified by staff, so allow for that before the send time.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Which timezone is used for scheduled SMS?
Bangladesh time (Asia/Dhaka, UTC+06:00). Over the API, scheduled_at must include a timezone offset, for example 2026-12-01T10:00:00+06:00.
Can I schedule a single message as well as a campaign?
Yes. Scheduling is available when you send a single SMS and when you send a campaign to many recipients.
Should I schedule OTP or security messages?
No. One-time passwords and security alerts are time-sensitive and should be sent immediately.
What time should I send promotional SMS?
We recommend between 09:00 and 20:00 Bangladesh time, and following any stricter rules set by mobile operators or regulators. See our SMS Policy for details.
